Reycling old printers

I have 2 old printers and live in the Northern Suburbs of Johannesburg (although these days there is a lot of Johannesburg to the north of us). Can anyone advise me where I can take them to be recycled?

I do not know about you, but I simply went with mine to nearest garbage and leave them there. Or you can give them for free to some computer shop anyway and it will be really fantastic over time. I do not understand anything at all about utilisation now.

This question is asked often and it's surprising that the answers are hard to come by:
1) You can take old electronics to any Makro where they have a container in the parking area. These are emptied and disposed of responsibly.
2) Or you can drop it off at Hospice which will try and sell it and failing that will dispose of in the same manner.
