Information is a commodity that not enough can afford thanks to ICASA and the government.
If I was cynical I'd wonder if that isnt exactly the way the gov wants it. Good thing I'm not cynical.

Hardly suprising. You price it as a luxury, only the wealthy will be able to afford it. Problem is the government is likely to use stats like this to prove that the rich are somehow unfairly exploiting the system and must be punished.

Once upon a time the DOC, ICASA en Telkom bought a duck together, trained and groomed their duck to in all the ways of "duckness", forced it and beat it into acting like a duck when it per chance befriended a pig, slaughtered the said pig...
and now....a couple of years later...they are absolutely dumbstruck as to why their duck is qwacking.

According to that article 63% of the internet population earn less than R300k/annum. And still it says the rich dominate?

I guess we all very rich!! Seeing as we posting on this forum..
Anyways 40% go to tax man.
20% To Telkom and Vodacom
5% To Banks
15% to alleviate poverty
of which i am left with 20%. Why dont they just make this a communism state. That way I can have my water, electricity, house, internet all for 1 flat rate. Talk about tripple play
