So its been like 2 years since i asked the Question if there are any developers out in the Richards Bay area.

Has Much changed?
do we have some new blood in the Area regarding developers?

we'll if you live in the RBay or even Empangeni feel free to post , it would be nice to know that there is more that one coder in this "Place of boredom" we call home.

just out to find ppl with the same interests

I'm glad my friends and I never talk about "recursions and algorithms"

Even my gf mentioned how nice it was dating someone in IT who never spoke about their job or dragged her into a PC shop every chance he gets.

If I were to have a beer with a bunch of developers, the most discussed topic there would be a bet at to how drunk we can get before puking. Not about foreach i = 0 to 599 and the best way to make it faster

Same way I don't understand people who play WoW, get together for a braai, and then only talk about WoW. dafuq

yea - beer/Braai and Wow doesnt mix - been there , done that , got cata T-shirt.

i'm one of the lucky ones that has a wife that drags me into the pc shop :D

but yea just wanna know if there are like minded ppl out here in the semi sticks.
 
why would anyone WANT to go into a PC shop. Boggles my mind. Just because I'm in IT and I love what I do doesn't mean it spills over into my personal life boring the hell out of people.

I'd rather go watch my friend play bass and get drunk

yea - i miss those days 2 , to busy at work and being the only Dev onsite here places me at work for more than 10 hours a day but worth every cent they pay me :D
