Oh my ****, he makes Bush look like a scientist.

The way I figure it, you have to be pretty stupid to vote Republican in the first place, so he sort of looks just fine for them, as far as I am concerned...:p

Republican or Democrat America still goes the same way...

I left it open for about 10 minutes and it wouldn't open, then came up with a fatal error....:wtf:

Transcript:

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school.
As President, I'll end Obama's war on religion. And I'll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage.
Faith made America strong. It can make her strong again.
I'm Rick Perry and I approve this message.

I've just been to that website. The man is definitely a Cretin of note!

Statement by Gov. Rick Perry on Obama Administration’s Use of Gay Rights to Make Foreign Aid Decisions
Posted on December 6th, 2011
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today issued the following statement:

“Just when you thought Barack Obama couldn’t get any more out of touch with America’s values, AP reports his administration wants to make foreign aid decisions based on gay rights.

“This administration’s war on traditional American values must stop.

“I have proposed a foreign aid budget that starts at zero. From that zero baseline, we will consider aid requests based solely on America’s national security interests. Promoting special rights for gays in foreign countries is not in America’s interests and not worth a dime of taxpayers’ money.

“But there is a troubling trend here beyond the national security nonsense inherent in this silly idea. This is just the most recent example of an administration at war with people of faith in this country. Investing tax dollars promoting a lifestyle many Americas of faith find so deeply objectionable is wrong.

“President Obama has again mistaken America’s tolerance for different lifestyles with an endorsement of those lifestyles. I will not make that mistake.”

I read an interesting piece by Christopher Hitchens on Slate, and he reckons Mitt Romney has already been chosen to be the Republican candidate. Perry and the rest of the clown line-up's only purpose is to make Romney look like a sane and reasonable choice.

Herman Cain?
Rick Perry?
Michelle Bachmann?

Mission accompished.

Not all Romney needs to do is to stop giving asinine interviews.

By the same token, I wouldn't vote for someone who truly believed in the founding whoppers of Mormonism.

The LDS church holds that Joseph Smith, directed by the angel Moroni, unearthed a book of golden plates buried in a hillside in Western New York in 1827. The plates were inscribed in "reformed" Egyptian hieroglyphics—a nonexistent version of the ancient language that had yet to be decoded.

Smith was able to dictate his "translation" of the Book of Mormon first by looking through diamond-encrusted decoder glasses and then by burying his face in a hat with a brown rock at the bottom of it. He was an obvious con man.

Romney has every right to believe in con men, but I want to know if he does, and if so, I don't want him running the country.

Are there not any Republican candidates who are not completely bonkers ?

erm, why can't American kids openly announce their Christianity or pray in schools?

Who said they can't openly announce their Christianity? Are we talking about preaching to other kids or just saying "I'm Christian"?

The no praying thing I'm assuming goes to the separation of Church and State.

I have no idea what the law in America is to be honest, but if a community that is Christian can't pray in school then that is against their freedom of religion.

No it isn't. They aren't prohibited to pray, just prohibited to pray in schools. You want to pray, go to church.
