--DSL and Voice service has been down since about lunch time Friday 28 March 2014. Fault logged with Telkom which has indicated there is a 'bulk fault' affecting the area and have no ETA on resolution. Know from other people in area they were also affected on Friday but have been restored already. Your results may vary.
--012 345 xxxx
--10 MBps ADSL2+ (Exchange was upgraded to ADSL2+ approximately 2-3 weeks ago)
--Afrihost capped
--24/7

Similar to my area 011 453. How long these repairs will take is anyone's guess. They better credit us the down time.

I'm on the same Exchange, I've been on 10Mb ADSL2+ for almost 3 years now. I didn't have any issues over the weekend.

Suspect you are on a different exchange, likely the older EP (North of Piering, and closer to N1). I've been on this exchange which covers mostly south of Piering and some areas of EP close to Delmas/Piering Junction, for 7+years. Been 'gmt' mode with max sync of ~6Mbps till a few weeks back when it switched to ADSL2+ and a stable 10 Mbps sync. Same report for other people I know in the area. Only got more than 4 by getting Afrihost to get Telkom to 'regrade'. Telkom DSL checker still lists my number as 4 Mbps max to this day.

Or Telkom just liked having me on the old DSLAM =)

Bastards! Think I'm connected to the same exchange (~1500m from it), and know of two other lines (<500m) also connected there that was out over the weekend.

Time to throw some toys. Going to phone Telkom support, back on 5 hours.

What's cute is that just across delmas road, Wingate Park. No telkom service what so ever.

Lines were stolen and Telkom refuses to replace.

Best part is that they still mark my line as "active" (It's not, I try everyday), so they wont refund me.
