So, I have this rifle safe stuck on the wall and it needs to go.. thing is, I don't have a key..

If at all, in anyway whatsoever possible, I would like to get the safe open in one piece so it can be reused again.. any one have any ideas how to get this open without breaking it..?

If I had to break it open, would I be able to just stick a grinder with a cut-off disc to the two hinges to get it open..?

Yeah if you don't want to damage it then locksmith... If you don't want to spend money then angle grinder on the 2 hinges will do the job but of course then safe is ruined.

Yeah no locksmith.
Only way to open it without a key (and without damaging) is to get a locksmith. Or watch lots of lock picking YouTube vids and try your luck.

No need to watch youtube, just play some Mafia II

Those sell like hot cakes before COVID19.
Get a locksmith possibly even use your personal lines policy cover or assist programme

Put it up for sale with keys made and you'll profit.

The hinge.. can u see the bolt ends? If so perhaps take a screw driver + hammer and knock it out. Start with bottom one.. if I can’t figure out how to knockout (space vs distance to floor needed) then no point.

If the lock is short and badly designed vs door dimensions you can wiggle door out.. else if the lock is long it won’t help.

Suspicion it’s a hinge tied and opposite at bottom so likely can’t do this.

Thanks for the responses thus far.. a helpful forum member may have a skeleton key we are going to try.. failing that, I'll be setting my master bedroom ablaze with grinder sparks..

If cutting with a grinder, try getting the blade in each gap of each hinge, so you can just cut the rod inside.

If you can then slide the door out and get the lock sorted, you can just pin in new rods into the hinges.
