Rift Questing

Hi guys, I recently started playing Rift. As an ex-WoW player I have to admit the who soul system is very cool.
Closing Rifts is almost neat. (Haven't done any PvP yet.) But the quests seem boring, for the most part they don't seem to be linked into epic quest chains, and almost every quest is a basic kill X mobs in the region.
It just doesn't feel like there is much story backing onto it. What I want to know from any existing Rift players is, does it get better?

Where are you questing at the moment and what is your level?

Stopping invasions is just as epic, some invasion bosses even at low levels are insane, 300k life... :wtf:

im lv 42 now. and i must say... i didnt know there was a storie line.
im kinda just grinding quest, if it gets board i earn some xp in warfronts and some 5mans.

but taking a break atm till im in the mood again

Never Bothered with the story line tbh, Questing can get a bit boring but closing rifts and taking part in huge invasions sorts that out

Patch 1.3 was released yesterday, with some new content etc....
