Does anyone know whether there exists such a thing as a right-angled RJ45 plug, and if so where I can get a few of them?

I want to terminate some cat 5e cables so that when they are plugged into the flush wall data sockets, the cable hangs straight down to the floor and not stick out from the wall.

Thanks

I have not seen right angled RJ45 plugs.

Instead I use a downward facing wall box. Look out for Krone or RWdata brand boxes

You do get right-angled connectors but they are premolded as far as I know. You have to buy the entire fly/patch lead as a unit.

I'll rather go with the downward facing wall box than trying to get the premolded stuff.

Otherwise, if the RJ45 sockets are already installed (eg metal skirting or metal trunking etc), then you'll have to get the premolded stuff - and I have to assume that these won't be cheap either.

I have seen them locally as well...

By this definition, I suppose what I'm looking for is neither a right-angle nor left-angle but a "down-angle" plug. My data sockets are flush in the wall, like a power socket. And like a 15A power plug, I would like the cable to exit the plug at the bottom.

Looks like I'll have to live with the standard RJ45 plug.

Thanks to all for the input.
