Complaint - Planet Gaming

Sent my playstation in with suspected power supply problem. Got it back a week later with R1550 invoice for power supply replacement. After complaining reduced to R1150.
Plugged it in - still dead. Sent it back, and got it back 4 days later - explanation circuit board problem that was only discovered now also had to be fixed.
Plugged it in, still dead. Now I am very suspicious, so I try another electrical cable - miraculously it works. The problem was the R30 cable all along. I was charged R1150 for this, and I still have to find my own new electrical cable.
They can't prove that the power supply was replaced. If it was, it was not necessary, the machine worked fine when they plugged it in using their cables.

Stupid question: why not test the cable before you send it in?

I should have, but I could not find one that fit. But when I got suspicious I tried a bit harder and realised that my DSTV decoder has the same cable.

Damn. That's bad luck. However, I suspect you won't get anything out of it from them - although I hope you do.

They already gave OP a huge discount.
How does he know that whatever damaged his PS didn't damage the cable as well? His first test after the initial repair was with the damaged cable, so it's impossible to know if they fixed anything or not and because his cable was damaged how can OP claim he was ripped off?
Your post is illogical. You have no proof to your claims of any wrong doing on their part. The only thing you have shown us is you tested your repaired PS initially with a faulty cable.

I have had 3 things repaired by them , and though on two they took their time, they were repaired well.

Sort of expensive learning curve. Should of just gotten a pc lol.

Had a ps3 fixed there, sold it before the warranty ended though so im not too sure how good their work was, took in my phones motherboard to get the cpu reballed and Ray which is probably the owner tells me a whole long story, to cut the story short they needed a stencil/jig to reball the CPU & he told me it costs R6000 for a little mediatek cpu stencil, all i could do was laugh because they sell for 5 dollars, then i was told to put the phone back together so if he fixes it he can test it, so i put it back together drive back and leave them with the phone to make sure its a CPU problem, 7 days later no response so i go into the store and ask for the phone, stupid retard who works there tells me oh sorry we couldnt get it right & Ray tells me he needs a stencil. Anyway i got the phone back with the screen protector half off & dirty as **** along with some nice scratches on the side. Well done to these ********s!

A technician of any worth would have checked the cable first. Did you send it in with your faulty cable?

Doubt he would of sent it in with the cable, they just a bunch of incompetent turds thats all.

At the price you were charged may as well have just paid R300 more and had it swapped out at partserv

So - do you know for a fact that the machine worked fine when they plugged it in using their cables? Are you sure there was nothing else wrong with the console when you took it in? Can you prove this? Can you prove that they didn't replace any parts on it? Be careful young padawan - what you are doing is slanderous and if Planet Gaming don't find you amusing they might just slap you with an interdict and quite possibly a hefty fine.

Just some advice - use it, don't use it.

Like the OP said "suspicious" i would agree, after receiving my phone back with the screen protector placed on all dirty with white smudges all over the screen and scratches on the side of the phone i would call them very suspicious indeed, they can go **** themselves for all i care.
