Rising costs hit middle-class hard

Feeling the pinch. Not upgrading my phone again, keeping the iPhone 4S.
Cycling more to work to try and save a bit on Petrol. Use the motorbike rather than the car to get to work.
Fiancé does not understand that my salary can only pay that much. Have to get along with no medical, pension or any insurance.
And asking for a raise get the reply of be happy you have a job.

Yeah I know, but things are tight already. If I get medical, pension and insurance (other than the car insurance) i am left with more expenses than income. Even medical will screw things over.

Do yourself a favour and get at least a hospital plan.

Do yourself a favour and get at least a hospital plan.

I always warn people who are surviving not to get any form of medical aid including a hospital plan.

Having been in the situation myself I know that even a basic plan can put such a big strain on your budget that by the time you need it you would already lost it because you could not afford it anymore.

Trust me, I would give up my car before I give up my hospital plan but only have both because I can afford it.
