So today I decided to make my own loopback plug, I tested it on my router and it seems to kill the internet on my computer.

Is this meant to happen?

What are you trying to achieve?

Why yes,yes it would, did you build a Female Loopback to plug into the network cable or a male loopback? Male loopback would cause a broadcast storm on a dumb Switch

So you crossed 1/3 and 2/6 on a cable and plugged it in to see the hamster spin in the wheel. Why not plug port x to port y and save the cable?
