Does something like this exist?

I have a set of racing pedals that I would like to sell with a different wheel than the one it came with, but the pedals come with an RJ45 jack which is only plugged into the wheel and nowhere else. Is there a way I can get it to work alone?

"RJ45 to USB" on Google gives insufficient results.

this is likely not ethernet protocol over the RJ45 jack. It is most likely a proprietary format and the usb interface is only in the steering wheel (which connects to the PC). There is very likely nothing on the market that would suit your needs (aside from buying another steering wheel by the same manufacturer that is sold as a standalone (without the pedals) that you can add the pedals to). as they're pedals, I would imagine the wires carry one +5V and one 0V signal from the steering wheel and use a 2 potentiometers (one for each pedal) to send a return voltage for each pedal (so probably a four wire system). These return voltages would then be connected to a microcontroller via an Analogue to Digital Converter inside the steering wheel, which then connects through a USB controller to the PC.

these are for extending USB over twisted pair cabling. sending random analogue voltages from a potentiometer into your USB port is going to give you bogus results, if not fry your motherboard.
 
One must always remember that just because it fits, doesn't mean you should sits.
banana plugs on stereo equipment fit quite nicely into two prong plug sockets, but 230V 50Hz doesn't sound great on your B&W speakers :P

I was also thinking along those lines. That RJ45 was probably created to work with that specific setup only.

Pedals are not usb compatible, they have to plug into the wheel as that contains the circuitry/logic to convert the input to usb compatible signals & then you also have the required drivers on the pc.

So on their own the pedals are pretty useless, that said there are enthusiasts out there that make adapters, the T500 pedals you can find an adapter for to hook up to a logitech usb cable. Adapter & cable is about $70.

I dunno which pedals come with that wheel but it should have something written on them somewhere, T3PA or T3PA-Pro pedals by any chance?
