Hey Guys
Just a question about returning faulty hardware back to BTGames...
So the item in question is a Sidewinder X8 mouse i bought in December last year, so it is still within warranty with them. The problems are numerous, like the charge not lasting consistently, some times a charge lasts for 4 days, other times only 2 days.

I do realize that this test is a tad subjective, but recently the scroll button on the mouse has been making some funny sounds. The normal definitive click of the scrolling up or down is now a grinding sort of click and every so often the scrolling is silent(as in no clicking sound whatsoever), which is very strange. Whats stranger is that the scrolling function does work, and the button does work when i press it, and i know if it aint broke dont fix it, but if its showing signs of non normal functioning then its time to RMA.

So here we come to my question, has anyone ever done any hardware returns with BTGames and is it a pleasant enough experience or must i be prepared for some fighting and emails to managers e.t.c :D.

I bought the same mouse last year from BT games and it's giving me the exact same problems. Yesterday it would not charge at all. Thinking of taking it back to them as well. I see on the slip it says the supplier will replace the stock as they don't do refunds. The mouse is ok today so if it happens again that rat is going back.

well that seems strange doesn't it?! Same mouse, same problems, same retailer? Did btgames steal a container of defective Sidewinders?!
You see, the problem is that it works, no problem in fragging peeps at all :). The issue is that i can tell something is wrong just instinctively(the charging aspect) and distinctively(the scroll wheel). My previous mouse(standard logitech) i had for 4 years and i never had any issue whatsoever with degradation over time of one aspect(scroll wheel or left click button for example). With this mouse, everything works fine, but i can just tell something is wrong. Its not working the same way it was on day one, thus it's getting return. Oh and Reaper, maybe record the problem using your phone or something( i have), because on my side the issues occur randomly, so knowing our customer(bad) luck will just get worse and when they test it it will seem "fine" and dandy and then return it too us with like a 25% handling fee attached to it!

I bought a esports black gaming mouse from them last year....returned it because it wouldn't work on startup. Well.....the cursor wouldn't move. But you could right click and the menu would appear. Anyway I took it back to them, they said they would send it to to dist......dist called and said there were no problems. RUBBISH!! Tried it on two machines and the same problem occurred. I informed them this, but it magically worked when they tested it. I now have a faulty mouse in my possession. Bleh!!! Just watch out for the distributors not bt games....they handled the shipping and what not perfectly. but alas if the dist won't give a new one.....then they won't.
