Under the Exceller product there is a clause that states ( just before additional features ):
All other transactions not included in the above list (e.g. Saswitch transactions, branch counter transactions) will be charged at standard fee as on the Absa Private Bank Cheque Account.
This fee covers a number of your day-to-day banking transactions and includes an unlimited number of:
• Electronic account payments
• Airtime debits
• Cash withdrawals at an Absa ATM and over the counter
• Debit orders
• Deposits
• Balance enquiries and ministatements at an Absa ATM
• Point-of-sale purchases and withdrawals
• Stop orders
• Transfers
• Notification fee (SMS or e-mail).
Transactions conducted on Absa-supported terminals and Saswitch terminals are not included in the Management fee.
Transactions not included in the above list attract standard transaction fees as detailed in the table on the last page.
Had a look at their website - their private bank is equivalent to other banks Platinum sectors, not quite what I'm after... need a more personalized service.
Finally got a document from ABSA listing the fee's, as per the banker, he says
Now I open document, and this is the section:
Do you think SMS/Email notification is included or excluded in the fee mentioned?
Notification fee (SMS or e-mail).
I would say to him that the document says that notification via sms or email is free. and see what his response is.

Try investec. Theyre excellent.
besides the stuff listed above, what else does the package come with?
I currently have FNB Platinum and have been thinking of moving to Absa Private Bank. I guess you have helped me in my decision (though you aren't the first person on Absa Private Bank to sway me).
