my brother died in a car accident in the early 90's,one family member who lives in Jo'burg took all my late brother's documents promising to claim from RAF on behalf of my parents but he never contacted them again,this thing keeps bothering me and I need to know if is there anyway that I can find out if he did claim and if what happened

Your starting point should be with the RAF. Lay your cards on the table and see where it leads from there. I am not sure if prescription would apply, but it may well be the case. If this matter has prescribed (i.e. too many years since your loss), then you may have not have any claim against the RAF.
