Road from ermelo to ladysmith

Hi

I am planning a trip down to durban and would like to know what the route from ermelo to ladysmith is like?, there was roadworks and stop and go's in 2011 but not sure what its like now?.

Anyone have any idea?

Seems they are not done yet, last time I went through there it was also in 2011 so not much help.

The road is uneven in places. Be cautious when driving through the Laingsnek (Majuba) Pass. The road is winding and has sharp bends and steep descents. It is very dangerous in wet conditions. Roadworks between Ngogo Station and Majuba Pass (Laingsnek) are in progress. One way traffic through roadworks areas with stop/go controls in operation. Delays of +-15 minutes at a time may be expected. Rehabilitation is in progress on the section between Ngogo Station and Kwaggasnek. Stop/go controls are in operation with +-15 minute delays at a time.
