Roadhog kills young boy

Drag racing is fine, as long as it's in a controlled area with proper officials. It's the illegal drag racing thats puts the sport into disrepute.

How can someone be so callous to drive over someone and then reverse back over them, and then proceed to spin their tires on the kids head. I don't care how drunk you are, thats just inhumane.

That driver needs to be found and lynched

Track days are 100% fine. Illegal street racing is 100% stupid.

The number of new speed bumps and circles cropping up in our neighborhood is unbelievable. Our street has 5 or 6 speedbumps and one huge circle, all because of racing. :(

Municipalities suck at placing speedbumps. There are a couple in centurion that they've put right on corners. Do they realise what this does to bikes and scooters? Hardly any wonder that every second scooter in centurion has scrapes along the side.

They are the only things that work unfortunately, those who drive too fast are usually bikers/people with lowered suspension/front spoilers. In Durban they're not too bad, mostly found outside schools which I commend.

So... you're in favour of causing bike accidents and damage to suspension as long as it gets them to slow down? Heaven forbid that your kids should get scooters.

Personally I loath and detest speedbumps... and the person who originated the idea should be drawn and quartered... they speed up wear and tear on suspension, etc in a car.

But that article in the paper makes me sick... People who engage in illegal street racing should have their cars confiscated, plain and simple....

So speed humps cause bike accidents now? *cough*bull*****cough*

I'm in favour of both bikes and cars slowing down outside schools. I'd sooner endorse my children running across a 3 lane freeways than buy them scooters.

I have zero problems going over speed bumps on my bike, I am trying to get the local municipality to put some down on my road to stop people speeding as well...

just drive carefully over them

What has this got to do with being coloured? All races do this ****. I've recently had the municipality put in speed humps to curb the drag racing in our own neighbourhood.

Kraaifontein (AFAIK) is a predominantly coloured area, and I have far too many acquaintances who think hanging out at these things (the illegal ones) is a cool thing to do.

Didn't mean to generalize, but I wasn't aware that it was big in the white or black communities. Once again I mean the illegal races, because I know plenty of white ppl and sensible coloured ppl who go to the legal, controlled ones at Killarney.

I love fast cars as much as the next guy, but all you have do is see some guys race around the suburbs, with more subwoofers than sense, to see what idiots some coloured ppl are.

I mean, why would you want everybody within a 2km radius to hear what k*k music you're playing in your car while you zoom past other cars just to be the first one at a RED light?

Sorry for ranting, but ppl like that really p*ss me off.

Try going over one as you come out of a corner on a bike. If you don't know the damn thing is there, you're fscked.

I have no problem as long as they're not half a meter high and on corners. But there are some in centurion that are just stupid.

*bump* The video has been posted on the CarToday forum
