Hi
I know this is a bit off topic, and I apologise, its just that users on these forums are usually so useful on ADSL/Internet problems...am hoping this isn't too far out the ballpark.
I am a Vodacom subscriber, currently travelling and in the Netherlands. I got a Vodafone Prepaid SIM card here for my iPhone 4. It works fine for data, for sending SMSs to other Dutch numbers and I can receive SMSs from South Africa - but none of the SMSs I am sending back to SA are going through. They leave my phone ok, no error message, they just never arrive on the South African phone.
I had a similar problem earlier this year in Bulgaria but never before that on other providers and handsets. It's too weird.
I have made sure the numbers all have +27 in front of them with the leading zero dropped. Also tried 00 27. Checked the APN settings and they match what the Vodafone website gives....Nothing seems to work. Vodafone help desk here says its an issue on the South African side because the SMSs are leaving my phone fine.
Any advice?
