Rob Ashe is the general manager of business analytics at IBM.
Rob also serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cognos Espana, a subsidiary of Cognos Inc. Mr. Ashe served as the President of Cognos Inc. since April 10, 2002 and its Chief Executive Officer since June 23, 2004. He joined Cognos Inc. in September 1984 and served as its Chief Operating Officer from May 10, 2001 to June 2004; Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Officer from May 2001 to April 2002; Senior Vice President of Worldwide Customer Services from July 1999 to May 2001; Senior Vice President of Products from May 1997 to July 1999 and as Senior Vice President of Application Development Tools from April 1996 to May 1997. Mr. Ashe served as Director of Cognos Inc. since June 23, 2004 and Third Brigade, Inc. since October 2007. He holds Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Ottawa.
