Durban - A robber was killed and two of his alleged accomplices were arrested following a shootout in a Durban cemetery on Wednesday night, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Three armed men, one brandishing an Uzi submachine gun, robbed the Trans-Natal Meat Market in Warwick Avenue at about 18:30, said Senior Superintendent Jay Naicker.
They fled on foot with five bags of cash.
Staff at the city's CCTV control centre were able to follow their movements and contacted police, who cornered them in the Russell Street graveyard.
One of the three was killed in the ensuing shootout. The other two were arrested.
