These are a complete waste of time unless they are attended regularly, the techniques practiced diligently, and that practice has to be real. Doing the moves without actually hitting and throwing, getting hit and thrown, will not prepare them.

Thats precisely what I'm talking of really. The inability to distinguish between singular and plural, the inability to use the correct tenses and the inability to use words in the correct context (and I'm not talking a difficult context here). If you passed English on HG as a 1st Language then I worry even more for our education system than I did previously.

Just as a btw, I've bolded every sentence where the English wouldn't even pass what I would call Std 6 (Grade 8) quality testing.

If you'll notice, I haven't actually been involved in this "debate"... but your posts have irritated me since day one simply because you mangle the English language to such a degree that it is basically unintelligble.

Beside I don’t see how good or how bad my English is relevant to the topic. People dislike me always want to do personal attack rather than “the point”, are you one of them? But anyways, I don’t care …..

People always do this type of unreasonable person attack only have one reason ---- “you lost the debate”. I saw too many of my “oppositions” had very bad grammar and spelling, even I don’t understand what they are trying to say. I never attacked them for their “language barriers”. Yep--don't be too quick to judge a person on his language and grammar skills. I worked for mathematicians, physicists and engineers who's language skills are far worse. Whether they were just lazy or really busy I don't know.

You should have seen the kinds of emails I got from them when they wanted help with a computer problem. Geez--it really took some doing at times to figure out what they actually wanted. But dare take them on about their grammar with the kind of work that they do? Eh--no way!

Agreed, my daughters go once a week for self defense classes and twice a week I take them shooting, we then randommly attack each other to make it reflex.

I take their safety very seriously, here is some news that is not public yet ...

After discussions with cele the awb are going to start their own private security company - bit like having the hells angels as rolling stones bodyguards but should make criminals think twice

It’s a reply to wrathex who was puzzled by why people continued to employ domestic workers in spite of the security risk. I responded to the post.

I added:

As well as the security risk, there are minimum wages, labour legislation etc. and miles of red tape. Not worth it IMO. But people still do it (and often pay a tragic price).

BTW I watched a program about this Japanese guy that automated bagel making. Classic machine. There's a lot we don't need the human element for, with it's various risks.

Before there is a response that it will create more unemployment, I have always said we need to shift our nation to PC literacy and web based business. That's where we, this nation, must push ahead, especially now, with prices coming down continuously. Let's work at lifting the nation up, into the cloud.
