Hey guys!!

Hope there some clever networking people here that can answer this question... sure there is :)

I am having issue where Robocopy is using port 443 instead of 445, from what I understand 445 is the default port, correct?

So after network team (which I am not involved in) did some investigation they found the system is not acknowledging (ack) requests, only syncing (syn), please correct me if I am wrong, first time i've heard about syn and ack today. After some further investigation and 'sniffing' they found that this specific system is using port 443 (https) instead of 445 (cifs).

Can anybody answer this and why it is doing this? I compared the one Robocopy script to the other and they are exactly the same?

don't have clear answer on this yet but found there were some dns issues on the network, problem solved.
