Hi Guys

Has anyone used robofactory.co.za ?
Are they legit ? How was the experience ?

I'm looking to pick up a few Sonoff Basics.

Their name came up when I was searching for sonoff's but I also have them a miss because I'd never heard of them before.

I see they have a nice special on the basics at the moment.
 
I've just ordered 5 Sonoff Basics (in stock)

They use Payfast to process payment (I paid with a VISA card) with 3D secure (payment confirmation via cellphone).
Order confirmation was received almost instantly via e-mail.

Now let's see how delivery goes...
 
Looking ok so far. My package was handed over to the courier (the Courier Guy) at 9pm last night in Johannesburg (I'm in Cape Town).

Doesn't shout fake to me. You can get the same stuff from AliExpress for half the price. But youll wait 60 days for delivery. So I guess they just import the stuff and resell it.
 
The lead time is really the killer for not importing. (I did order a couple of sonoff pow r2 units from Gearbest in the past).
Among other things, I want to use these to control some Christmas lights.

If you order direct shipping via bangood you'll have it in two weeks. But yes, it all depends on how quickly you want it I guess. Aliexpress is definitely not going to work.
 
Just got notice that the parcel from robofactory was delivered at my office (haven't inspected it yet). So 3 days from order to delivery.

All and all, a satisfactory experience. Delivery could've been a little faster, but it's not too bad. I may order from them again if I need something on a shorter lead time than importing myself.

Or even better. Order 2 or 3 times the item from China, it might cost you almost the same as buying one item here. and sell the other two. Profit. :D
 
I’ve personally ordered from Robofactory (a couple of Sonoff Basics, a Sonoff TH16 with sensor and some odds and ends)on more than one occasion.

It’s definitely legit. And delivery was speedy.

Currently the cheapest I can find most Sonoff products for.
 
I've used them a couple of times. They are extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with.
