Roboguard garden beams

Anyone used these beams? A client of mine has them and says they are great. Easy to install and effective.

I am skeptical at putting in the normal straight point to point beams as these I find are temperamental and easy to step over or under.

These Roboguard beams have 11 beams that span 110 degrees with a distance of 20 meters. They can also be hooked up to the alarm system if you need.

They are not cheap averaging at about R2k per beam and you will also need a receiver.

Any feedback much appreciated.
 
2k per beam.... thats expensive, may be more worth while to just get an electric fence with a trigger alarm.
 
Got an electric fence and a house alarm. Whilst a electric fence is great, there are ways to get in without triggering it. House alarm also great, but by the time that goes off its too late.

While I don't really know whether those are better or not, from what I have seen they are not wireless. The beauty of the Roboguard is they are DIY friendly, no running cables etc.

I've not heard bad things about roboguard, want to get some to when funds allow. Even if just 2 sensors and HQ at first (around R5500) that will cover the most vunerable areas.

Yeah, I have been talking about for ages, obviously the cash is always the part that stops me :p

But I am done talking, going to get them.

You do get wireless paradox outdoor sensors too about R250 more. If you work a deal with an online store or installer getting a few will drop the price in my experience.
 
Ordered my Roboguards late on Friday, the dude was so accommodating, made a plan and got stock for me. Even better he personally came this morning and delivered them and gave me a full walk through of the setup etc. First class customer service.

Installing them tomorrow.



Edit:

Installation was surprisingly easy, even for a DIY challenged individual such as myself. Being wireless they are so easy to setup. Takes a little bit of adjusting to get the beams spot on, but 3 out of the 4 I put in worked perfectly without me having to do a single adjustment. They work incredibly well. The range is decent, about 20 meters at 110 degree angle. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for some extra security and piece of mind. I am a lot more comfortable knowing that should anyone be in my garden I will know before they get a chance to get inside.

lol, best part it is does not pick up pets which is great.

I don't really think buying more effects the price.

I heard good things about Roboguard from my cousin he has a couple but they would not suit my conditions or i would buy some .
