San Diego police say a 16-year-old boy throwing rocks at a sport utility vehicle was struck by a crossbow bolt fired by a passenger.
Police say the shirtless boy and a friend were throwing rocks at a black Toyota RAV4 in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon when a passenger fired a crossbow out the window.

The boy was shot in the right side and was taken to a hospital. The San Diego Union-Tribune says his injuries are not life-threatening.

His name wasn't released.

Nobody has been arrested.

WONDER IF HE GOT THE POINT?

I quiver at the thought of what could have happened if it hit him in the head.
 
Thought this would be about one of Malenema's cousins who were brought in to JHB to come and "support" him and threw rocks at the cops. I am disappoint.

Ditto! Was specifically thinking of that one guy we saw on the news a number of times.
 
Well on the train yesterday in Cape Town on the way to Strand (Next to the township thats there) I hear a massive bang and feel a shock run through my body. Seems someone through a rock at the train as it was passing and hit the metal outside right where I was sitting. If it was any higher it could have hit the windows or gone through a window and smacked me on the face. Makes me wish I had a crossbow or the rock bounced back and smacked them on the face.

Not keeping my distance.
Like the medieval town crier I say my bit but want it to be heard.
In the three years I have been here I have only started a handful of threads but most of them have been in "shout mode" and those that weren't were slip-ups on my part.

If someone has a crossbow (or any sort of firearm) and is anywhere near a rock thrower I hope he is sufficiently anonymous to make a positive contribution to society by dispatching the SOB.

That depends on the state. It's not like the crossbow weilder was looking for a victim, unlike the rock weilder.

This made me think of a "road rage" video, where this one guy is flashing his lights etc., trying to get some guy to pullover who cut him off, or whatever. Then one of the passengers shows the guy a M16, and he promptly backs off rather rapidly. Will post linky if I find it.

i have noticed quite a few threads where the title is in capitals. what is the reason for such "aggressiveness" if i may ask? i can hear you, i don't need a hearing aid thank you.
