As long as you don't have any TV's without HDMI then there is no reason not to get the Roku 3.

Unless like me you cannot get it to connect to the plex media server (or pc for that matter) and keep on getting error messages. So gatvol of battling with this thing.

Mine works flawlessly. Maybe a network config problem?

Can I run it off my router directly via lan cable? All my tvs are hd so thats not a problem.

Or do I need a pc for it to run netflix, huluplus and crackle?

It's a separate device, no need for a PC. Only the Plex app require a Plex Server.

Ok great, other than netflix, huluplus and crackle what other channels are available?

Mine also connected first time without any problems. Plex support on Roku is honestly "the" best feature of the Roku besides Netflix and Hulu.

I think so. First time it connected easily and without issues. Subsequently I have reset it multiple times and tried to reconfigure what I could but still no love. :/
