Roku Premiere+ Power Supply replacement

So as title says, out of nowhere my Universal AC adapter just stopped working on Roku. What is weird is I tried the spare adapter (the same one) and also doesn't power Roku but when I try the original power supply using an international adapter it works perfectly.

In an ideal world would just use the original but that is being used in daughters room to power her Roku 3 (strangely enough when I use the universal adapter on her Roku it also doesn't power). So I am lead to believe either Roku updated firmware to not allow other power supplies or that both universal adapters just stopped working.

So I need to find a replacement please. Anyone here still using a universal power supply for their Roku that is still working? Please let me know as I need to buy a new one.

Are you sure the polarity is correct? What is the rating on the Roku?

Sorry for dumbness nit what is "polarity"?

The Roku has been working for last 3 years on the universal power supply in daily use.

The inside ring and the outer ring of the plug that plugs into the Roku. One is positive and one is negative, it won't work if you get them the wrong way around. Example below:

Ahhh OK (learn something new every day).

As mentioned, the universal power supply has been working for closer to 4 years on a daily basis without any issue and then all of a sudden just stopped. Even the spare one I had (still brand new and identical) doesn't work.

I know sometimes those universal adapters have a polarity reversal option like the Ellie's adapters. Has the Roku worked since it stopped (on another adapter)?

*Edit* duh sorry, I see it works on the original supply.

Take a photo of the label on the original supply and the generic one for us?

First make sure that there are no loose connections. Does the red plug fit properly in the Roku power socket? Does the red plug fit snugly on the cable?

Is that adapter similar to the Raz Tech Universal adapter from Loot? If you check the single review, the customer claims that the adapter struggles to supply the stated current. Maybe you could try to test the Roku with a different 12V adapter? Some of the Rokus use a DC plug that might not be easy to find. Do you know the dimensions of the original Roku power plug or the red ringed barrel plug? I think it should be a 3.5X1.35mm plug?
