I have been watching the roleout in Cape Town for a while now and still only the CBD is live - does anyone know when other areas will be serviced?

I have also found that some of the coverage map's links are pointing to the wrong pages.

Just see where the richer people live... should be a fair guide to which areas will be serviced first. Same as Sentech and TelkomADSL before it.

I stay in Goodwood and apparently iburst has been quite busy installing the Mark Heights tower but they still haven't got their antennaes up yet. Don't know how its going in other areas except that they're having alot of problems according to a technician I spoke to.

The CBD up to Milnerton is covered, doubtfully any further until they plonk down an antenna in Blouberg or somewhere central.. they can come poet the antenna on my window sill in return for free uncapped service.. imagine all the radiation, prolly end up growing an arm out mah chest!

What is happening at Centurion?

Since 1 December I have been contacting WBS 'help' desk on a weekly basis and their standard reply was, 'it will be up within the next two weeks'. Tonight I phoned (8 Feb 05) and the person said between now and the end of March!!. I do not think that their helpdesk actually have any idea of what is happening out in the field. According to the technical department they had all the equipment from the beginning of December already but struggled to secure a site. They have secured a site in early January according to same people but since then nothing.... What are they not telling us??

No doubt they are hitting the Enviromental issues we had.
This is especially bad in CT and PTA, the rest of the country is ok.
