With the all the issues introduced to the Mibox after the latest upgrade and having to constantly reboot the unit before getting it working, I was wondering if it is possible to rollback to Android 8 and hopefully have a fully functional Mibox again. There are a few threads with links and downloads, but there are also discussions about it not working 100% and then losing Netflix playback and other shitty stuff.

This would be my only attempt before tossing it out. If you have done it, is the unit working 100% and can you point me in a direction on the web to the process followed.

much appreciated

Instead of tossing it or putting yourself through the hassle of downgrading your unit, just disable the screensaver to prevent the device from going into sleep mode.

The device really doesn't use a lot of power and you're free of the burden to reboot every time. I've been running mine like this for the past 3+ months since that last "Mi Peel remote" update that caused the issue on my MiBox 3 and it's been smooth sailing since then.
