I would like to find out something that bothers me for quite a while.

Last night I add 2Gig to my datapack. I do not know if the is correct or not, but it stated that this 2Gig is valid till the 1st of March.

So far every time that I buy data, it seems that it does not matter what day of the month you buy it, it always espire on the 1st of the month.

Etc:
Buy data on the 1st of January and it is valid till 1st of March.
Buy data on the 26th of january and it is valid till the 1st of March.

Should it not be that if I buy data on the 25th of January, then it should be valid till 25 of March.

I have try to get am answer from helpdesk, but they do not know why it is like this.

It seems to me that we are getting the short end here again from Vodacom.

As per item no. 9 of the FAQ bundle is valid for up to 60 days from purchase.
What this means is Vodacom's bundles always expire at the end of the next calendar month.
Buy on the 1st and it will last close to 60 days, buy on the 30th and it will last closer to 30 days.

This is the point that I do not understand from Vodacom. How does they add this up? 60 days is 60 days. How come if I buy on the 25th, then they say it will expire on the 1st of March. How do they calculate this? I also want one of those calculators. So once again this is a rip-off.

The link to Vodacom's page in the FAQ explains it very clearly. I suggest you take the time to read it.

DATA CONTRACT & MONTH-TO-MONTH SPECIFIC RULES

Unused allocated data (MB) will be carried over up to the last calendar day of the next month.
Example 1:
A customer subscribes to a My Meg 500 24-month contract on 1 May and is allocated 500MB to use up to 30 June.
On 31 May, the customer has used 250MB of the allocation and on 1 June is granted 250MB carry-over (carry-over equals 500MB allocation in May less 250MB usage in May).
On 1 June, the customer is allocated 500MB to use up to 31 July; the 250MB carry-over from May is added to use up to 30 June.
On 30 June, the customer has used 250MB which is less than the monthly 500MB allocation and forfeits the 250MB carry-over from May; the customer however has 250MB carry-over to July (carry-over equals 500MB allocation in June less 250MB usage in June).
The new data bundle allocated at the beginning of the month will be used first, before the carry-over data bundle.
Example 2:
A customer subscribes to a My Meg 500 24-month contract on 1 May and is allocated 500MB to use up to 30 June.
On 31 May, the customer has used 250MB of the allocation and is granted 250MB carry-over (carry-over equals 500MB allocation in May less 250MB usage in May).
On 1 June, the customer is allocated 500MB to use up to 31 July; the 250MB carry-over from May is added to use up to 30 June.
On 30 June, the customer has used 700MB; the total monthly allocation for June is used and 200MB of the 250MB carry-over is used; thus the customer forfeits 50MB left over from the May carry-over.
Please note: If a customer has terminated the contract agreement, no carry-over will be granted for the month following the month in which the contract is terminated.
Example 3:
A customer terminates his contract in April.
No carry-over is granted for May.
Please note: If a customer terminates a Month-to-Month contract, carry-over is forfeited.

Example 4:
A customer terminates his Month-to-Month contract effective 31 May.
No carry-over is granted for June.

PREPAID SPECIFIC RULES

Unused allocated data (MB) will be carried over up to the last calendar day of the next month, following the month in which the bundle was purchased.
Example 1:
A customer buys 500MB bundle on 15 April and is allocated 500MB to use up to 31 May.
On 13 May the customer has used 250MB and 250MB (500MB allocation – 250MB usage) is carried over until 31 May.
Example 2:
A customer buys a 500MB bundle on 1 May and is allocated 500MB to use up to 30 June.
On 30 May the customer has used 250MB and 250MB (500MB allocation – 250MB usage) is carried over until 30 June.

AD HOC SPECIFIC RULES

Unused allocated data (MB) will be carried over up to the last calendar day of the next month, following the month in which the bundle was purchased.
Example 1:
A customer buys a 500MB bundle on 15 April and is allocated 500MB to use up to 31 May.
On 13 May the customer has used 250MB and 250MB (500MB allocation – 250MB usage) is carried over until 31 May.
