Jokes aside, wondering if a power surge or irregular power could cause this?
I had one, and it started swelling after a few year's use. I stopped using it then. An old LG cellphone did the same when I had the battery replaced with a non-OEM one.
Perhaps there isn't always a visible sign of failure or malfunction.

Rather get a Romoss Zeus for a significantly less, also has PD but less wattage on USB C, still more than enough to fast charge a tablet or phone.

That said my parents got a 20 000 romoss that died after one year, it had puffy cells for several months, generally I would try to get powerbanks with 18650 INR cells their a bit more robust and tends to withstand a lot more, pouch cells puff up extremely easily.

Lately my Romoss 20 000 has started getting really warm while I'm charging something, last night I picked it up and felt its swollen, swollen to the point where it seems the plastic housing is cracking! i gotta get rid of it! its about 4 years old now,

I won two of them from here and mygaming.
Lasted a few years then stopped charging, stuck them in my bedside drawer.
Cleaned it out a couple of months back and the older one looked like a balloon so threw them both out.

Yeah, same thing happened to my sister's Romoss. Was plugged in a then blew up, scary stuff.
