That said my parents got a 20 000 romoss that died after one year, it had puffy cells for several months, generally I would try to get powerbanks with 18650 INR cells their a bit more robust and tends to withstand a lot more, pouch cells puff up extremely easily.

There is a reason they cost significantly less. Also, I know it doesnt apply to everyone, I need a minimum 100W Thunderbolt to power my Dell Precision. But yeah, would buy a second one anytime.

Build wise its one of the better Romoss battery banks, but yea their entry level stuff is junk.
The majority of the price difference is from the DC to DC boost converter that can hit 100w , its a bit of a edgecase but I can see that a lot of people would want to charge their laptops from a power bank.

To be honest, mine was starting to swell way before the loadshedding we know today. I just decided to stop using it, in case something goes wrong.
 
Strangely I was using my Xiaomi Mi Redmi Power Bank to charge my phone over the weekend and it was making a strange high pitched sound until I unplugged it :cautious:

I bought a 10 000mah Romoss from Takealot around December lasted about a month or so using maybe twice a week, returned it and got a new one, battery lasted like less than 1 charge cycle of a 4600mah battery... This one when i use the one port labeled "fast charge" the thing gets so hot...

Got solar installed last week so will only use the slower port when i am forced to go into the office
