RoMoss Solo 6 Auto Off issue

I have a Romoss Sailing 3 which charges my Xiaomi prefectly. I also recently bought the 16000mah Solo 6. I tried to charge my phone last night while I slept. I woke up this morning and the charging had stopped in the night at 80% and then the power bank turned itself off.

I turned it back on and it carried on charging - at this point, all 4 LED's were still on on the power bank so capacity was near full. It charged to 90% and then turned off again.

I know these Romoss battery banks have auto off when they detect zero draw (as in when device is full) but this is a balls up.

Anyone else have an issue like this? I may as well return it if it is not going to take the phone to 100%. What good is carrying a brick of butter when it won't work properly...
 
Are you sure it stopped at 80%? Or charged full (power banked turned off) and then the phone depleted to 80%?

Yip, definitely sure. I went into battery history, saw the graph go up to 80% and then slowly start wearing down again. It never got above that.

Was also my first thought but the power bank is turning off before 100% :(

I wonder if this is a SOLO issue. My Sailing 3 is flawless in operation but after filling my Xiamoi's 4000mah battery, nearly 100% depleted.
 
I am definitely going to send this thing back if it does the same thing tonight. I will test 1 more time and then back you go for credit and I will rather pay more for a bigger Sailing
 
Recently had the same, and then it started to malfunction totally - not even powering off anymore.
Takealot didn't replace but rather gave credit on the item
 
Also got mine from takealot. Will check if it is still under 12 months.
 
Logged the return today. Kinda sad as I still have a need for a big power bank. Will keep my eyes peeled for a Sailing 5 on special

I still have not bought a new big powerbank to replace this 1600mah Solo 6 I returned to Takealot.

Anybody got recommendations?
 
I bought the ROMOSS POLYMOSS 20 - 20 000 mAh about 2 months ago.

This is simply the best power bank I have bought and used. I am a power bank nerd and bought just about every one out there, and this is one of the only ones that has the capacity that it advertises. I bought a resistor pack, and current meter to check out all my power banks. It is shocking how manufacturers over state their capacities. Most of the Chinese 8000 mAh power banks I have are in fact only 1500 mAh devices !!!! My POLYMOSS 20 , charges about 4 or 5 phones completely before needing a recharge

BTW on topic, although my POLYMOSS 20 has the same auto off feature - which is a good feature in retrospect, it has never switched off until any of my devices are 100 % full and are no longer drawing current
 
I have the same device and can second this. Fantastic.
 
Very happy with my Sense 10,400mAh and 15,000mAh. The first was from a brick and mortar store, the other was from Raru.
