Who is the better player in their prime The Ronaldo and Cristiano Ronaldo?

I would take the Brazilian. Injuries ruined him but he was the ultimate #9.

CR7 in my opinion. The Brazilian was damn good too, but CR has been consistently good over a number of years, and just keeps banging in goals.

Ronaldo would have had a way better career had he not played for inter merda.

Fat Ronaldo won 2 World Cups and all time top scorer.
Don't know who is better but if had a to choose which one I would pay to see ...Fatboy gets my vote

During Ronaldo's spell at Inter, he was probably the best that he ever was, with the exception of his time at Barca.

I know that, I was merely stating that he would have won way more awards & trophies had he left them at an earlier stage. I guess he stayed with the perennial chokers due to his injuries.

His dribbling technique along with pace was sublime.

If his body couldn't handle the pace of Serie A, he would've battled elsewhere... But in a way I do agree with you. Inter had become overly reliant on him. Never understood how Moggi allowed him to slip through his fingers.

Agreed, the defenders are way more brutal. That injury was weird especially the way it happened but yeah he wasn't the same after that.

Speaking of Don Luciano & CR, if it wasn't for Marcelo Salas, CR would have been a Juve player. Salas was a complete flop & injuries again to blame. He was never near his best at the 98 WC or Lazio for Juve. Anyway, CR would never had a chance to develop.

I suppose the economic climate is a blessing in disguise for Italian teams as youth players are getting way more exposure now.

Two different players that cannot be directly compared.

*EDIT:

While Ronaldo da Lima revolutionised the #9 and some say he was the precursor to the modern false 9, he still played a more central role than Cristiano does and led the line. Cristiano is an incredibly versatile attacking player that doesn't lead the line and while he can come inside, he spends most of his time working from the outside in. Also, the technical differences are pronounced. While Ronaldo da Lima possessed sublime ball control and was an efficient dribbler, he just isn't comparable to Cristiano. Ronaldo da Lima was also a more physical player, using his ample frame to out muscle defenders.
