Really bad ping to telkom.co.za from about 6pm - 12am on week days, and most of the time on weekends. On the CRAWFORD (WCFU) Exchange, according to http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/WCFU.

ADSL line speed: 4Mbps

ISP name: MWEB uncapped, also tested on Telkom guest account

Time: 18:00 to 24:00 in the evening

Congestion most likely, post a tracert during that time.

Message TelkomZA and ask him to follow up. Clareinch (Claremont) is also screwed right now.

Telkom don't have the capacity to support their current customer base and they want to upgrade everyone to 4 meg...

Also, supply ping screenshots taken at different times as suggested above.

Congestion, 1rst to 2nd hop takes too long. Congratulations, Telkom has recently admitted that exchanges are congested, so they might do something about it in 5 years if you complain enough.
