It's the climate here. The pine trees grow much faster so the wood is much softer and less dense. Hence it warps/twists more easily and doesn't last as long.SA wood is not very good and stable, it is not like American or European pine, we also don't have the same standards compared to them.
Most of them where crooked.Do you not have a roof rack on your car? any old roof rack will do...
just load the few pieces you're not happy with and take them back and swop them out, they'll do it no problem. Since it's only a few pieces just load them back on and replace them.
If it's twisted it's a nightmare, just replace it. If it's bowed its no problem to a degree as you're nailing it down as you go. If it's crook then you also can't use it. If you decide to use these just cut them shorter.

I needed more timber, but I wasn't going to risk ordering online. Visiting my local Leroy and Chamberlains, I can safely say that the issue is not isolated to Builders.I get my timber from Leroy Merlin (Fourways). I've only ever ordered 2.4m and 3m, so i can't comment on 6m, but they were fine for my purposes (raised garden beds).
