Got a PM from Rooi on Friday. He said I should PM him my address and he would deliver the power supply. I obliged (sent the PM the morning before I left for Kimberley), but in all honesty didn't expect what happended next.

Had a family emergency I had to tend to, so spent my friday in Kimberley. Got home on Friday night at about 11PM and to my surprise I found a power supply for my Iburst Modem in my driveway. :D:D:D:D:D

I have no idea how you found my street (it only appears on the latest GPS maps that I got in December), or how you got into my complex (so much for gate codes LOL), but your effort is really appreciated. I owe you big time. :)

Anyway, as you can see I am back online. I found out the LAN port on my modem is also buggered, so I am connecting via the USB port.

Anyway, thanks again Rooi. Iburst is definately very very far from over with people like you still working there. :D

P.S. Mods, please dont move or merge this post. I dont want it to get lost in my other "soap opera" thread and I want to give Rooi the credit he so rightly deserves.
 
People like Rooi should get a lot of recognition for real customer support. :)

IMO people like Rooi should be put into top positions where they can make an even larger impact.

There is hope afterall. Seems Rooi is taking up the cudgle's from where Shaun left off....
 
Rooi has been the fore-runner long before Shaun even came on the scene just got a wee bit quite after Shaun arrived Rooi allways puts the customer first IMHO. Pitty IBurst cant ramp up the rest of their offering.

Well done Rooi you are an inspiration.
 
Actually we should send something to the iBurst bosses, people are quick to complain but no one ever really takes the time to compliment the exceptional...

I tried sending an e-mail of recommendation to Gcebile's boss last year, telling him about the exellent customer support I continuously received from her.
He didn't even acknowledge my e-mail! To both Gcebile and Ronald - well done to you - you are the only reason why I would consider staying with iBurst.
Oh yes and, I forget this - the mid-month bandwidth top-up too! :-)
