I've been using sensodyne repair and protect every day for the past year or so. But yeah, I might rub it directly on.

I only bought the listerine today - I'm thinking I need to take better care of my teeth.

Rubbing in the repair and protect won't help. Try one of the other two by rubbing them in and then brush with the repair and protect :D

Ooooo, not sure that mouth wash is as beneficial as they claim, at least not long term use.

Rinsing with lukewarm salt water works and it's cheaper than mouth wash.

I have read the reports about oral cancer, but they say the proof is not conclusive. If there is conclusive proof it is harmful long term, I'll stop using it.

I'm just thinking, I need something to control the bacteria population in my mouth.

My last few appointments with my dentist he showed me the entire process and explained it to me (due to the nature of my job).
Freaking awesome equipment used nowdays (by the more modern dentists).

Gets the tooth ready by drilling all the rubbish out.
Does a 3d scan bottom and top inside mouth.
Designs a filling in a cad program.
Cuts filling on a specialised 3d engraver.
Glues it in (the fillings are so well done they actually clip into the hole).
Grinds it to shape.

Very awesome and fast procedure :)

I'm lucky in regard to my dentist also using all the latest equipment available. Was very interesting to see him doing a 3d design for a crown for me and then taking the "blank" to a machine to shape the crown while u wait.Super impressed and was a perfect fit.Took him about an hour and no problems since. He also did a RC for me and was quick and efficient.Modern technology really helps.

Yowzers... This might be the 1st MyBB thread stumbled on, that I wish I hadn't... Had my 2nd from the back bottom molar pulled a few weeks back. Abscess on the side of the tooth, apparently in the bone, was what made me take things serious. No pain, but it would occasionally flare up, and wasn't getting any smaller...

Dentist opened the tooth up - found a crack down the middle, along the base. So it was yanked. Surprisingly painless. 2 tablets that evening was all that was required. From this week on, I've already stopped noticing it... Chewing on both sides again.

At the next checkup, the Dentist will advise on options. I was thinking implant - but reading what it potentially entails (nevermind the cost), sees me thinking twice.... Will be guided by him - but good grief, don't feel like the trauma of grafts and what-not...
