Rosey Sekese has previous technical engineering background having worked for Denel as a Group Manager for Information Technology and as a Senior Engineer at Telkom.
At Denel, Ms Sekese was responsible for the centralisation of all the divisional IT Departments and also oversaw the implementation of a number of strategic key projects. While working for Telkom as a Senior Manager, she was responsible for the planning of Public IP Network and the ATM networks.
After obtaining her Electrical Engineering Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Cape Town in 1994, Ms Sekese completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the North-West University, Potchefstroom Business School. In 2007, she completed the Senior Executive Development Programme at Pretoria University
The Minister is satisfied that a rigorous evaluation process was followed in the appointment of Ms Sekese as the Director General.
The Minister, Deputy Minister, the Acting Director-General and staff congratulates Ms Sekese on her appointment and wishes her every success in achieving the strategic outcomes of the Department.
