I'm trying to set up the router so that I can use a local account through PPPoE while still allowing other people on the lan to access the international account through the router. Is this possible? Anyone familiar with the billion routers?

Hey YAPPOC,

Yes its possible:

1) Login into your router
2) On the lefthand menu, select Configuration, then WAN, ISP, and then click the Edit link under Main WAN connection.
3) Right at the bottom you'll see a option called, PPPoE Relay, tick that enable box, click on Apply, then on Save Config, and your good to go :)

Thanks, I think I'm doing something wrong though. For route sentry to work does it need two dial up connections? I tried putting the main wan connection on full bridge llc mode and when I try and connect a second account from my PC I see this message in the log: "633 The modem (or other connecting device) is already in use or is not configured properly."

I can set up PPPoE relay easily enough which lets me connect another (local) account, however I need access to both accounts for route sentry.

I have installed raspppoe and changed the number of connections to 2.

To answer your first question, yes you need two dial up accounts for route sentry to work and obviously 2 accounts.

Did you restart your pc after you set the WAN Endpoints to 2 ?

One other thing that I just thought about is the following: Are you running XP or Vista ?

The method I described is to enable half-bridge mode on your router. Therefore you would need to use RS for Vista, and I think it will work on XP, haven't tested it myself. If you use RS for XP, then you would have to put your router into bridge mode.

Let me know what setup of OS and RS version you are using. :)
