Ok, my adsl was installed on the 24/01/07 everything seemed to be running fine acctually great, now the problem comes in about 2 days later the ADSL WI-FI router that came with the installation packed up and the dail tone on the line just died, it hasnt been back since then. everything seems to just have died, so i went and swapped it out for the 5102G then i updated the firmware to the Billion 2.7.0.23(ZUE0.B1)3.3.2.5 firmware but the line speed seemed to have dropped i had speed problems since then so now last night the second router the 5102G also packed up just dead, all the lights come on ive tried to reset it but nothing. now, swapping routers is not my issue i can do this every day, its just that i have exactly the same setting on my line at work same everything. and well its the speed issue that boggles me does anyone think this could be a line issue or am i just very lucky and getting all the fauly hardware...? anyone have any ideas. would be appreciated. tnx all

That is so a line issue.
One of my clients had the same thing and he swopped it out 4 times. Telkom comes there and says "oh look my router is synching, goodbye" Now endless phone calls later they managed to find the problem. A foreign line voltage was the problem. Someones telephone line was touching a electric fence somewhere in the neighbourhood and that just screwed over all the lines. But for 4 weeks Telkom insisted that it wasnt their fault....

Lol. I had my router replaced 3 times because of a problem where TelkomInternet insisted that the router was faulty. In the process I got a better router than I previously had which was cool. :D When I was on router number 3 though, I phoned ADSL support (not TelkomInternet) and they said that the exchange in my area had lightning damage. :D

I have exactly the same problem after installing the firmware update!!

On a good day, I get about 3kb/sec on a download.

Is there no way of rolling back the firmware version?
