Hey all

I hope that I can get some advice and some opinions here as I am now completely lost on what to do.

My problem started when I got my ADSL in Feb. I am less than 1900m from my exchange (according to telkom) and I am on imax3 according to the technician that was here about 2 weeks ago.

My problem is this:

Originally I was informed that my line was 10mbps capable and so I got the account. I couldn't sync at 10mbps to save my life due to SNR issues. They then dropped me to 4mbps and I am still having SNR issues.

I had a technician come out and tell me that it could be my pace router that is causing the poor SNR (is this possible? ) so now I am in the market for a new router.

I have these options:

D-Link DSL-2750U
Asus DSL-N12E
Asus DSL-N12U
Asus DSL-N55U
Asus DSL-N66U

What would you guys recommend ? (I would prefer not to take the R2500+ routers but will if they are indeed worth it)

My current SNR is anything below 6.5 while synced at 4mbps.

I would appreciate all advice !!
Regards.

tp link w8980/70

about 1000-1500 depends on where u buy it

and its awesome!!

does the tracker say u can get 10mbps or did telkom check the exchange

on the tracker they say my line in my aria is 10mbps

but my exchange can only handle 6mbps max

I will look into that router and also check if the company I have credit with can get it !

The technician that has been working on my line trying to get the SNR fixed says that it is definitely 10mbps capable. He says there are some people in my street and a few streets down that are on the same exchange that has 10mbps
