Morning guys

I currently have a Telkom branded Duo Plus 300 router. My line is synced @ 6mb and I'm on a 4mb Telkom Internet account. I noticed in my router system stats that the Line is constantly losing sync and gaining sync again. I don't feel it when using the line much but it does drop once every day to the point where I have to wait a minute for it to re-sync. I was hoping to get a more decent router before trying to drop the line speed down to 4mb as I searched this forum and found someone else that had similar problem.

As far as opinions on this forum goes, the TP-Link brand is decent. Can anyone tell me whether it worth going for something like this?

One of the other reasons I am considering this, is that I am looking for a 300mbps wireless.

Thanks
:)

Netgear DGN2200 is a nice router, I have upgraded to a Pace VSDL router though, so if you want it you can come grab it, at a price though

I am becoming a great advocate for these cheap Tenda modems but for good reason. I have had one of these at home for a while now, haven't had a days trouble (though my line quality is excellent). Bought one the other again for our office which was struggling badly with intermittent line drops and the line hasn't been this stable in ages.

You can get one of these and then a separate wifi router like this one: http://www.dbg.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=1_55_56&products_id=685

The above wifi router is also compatible with OpenWRT so you can turn that router in to a beast: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...76-modem-on-TP-Link-routers?highlight=openwrt

These are just some pointers that have been useful to me so maybe they can be useful to you too.

Hi There,
I have had a DGN2200 for a while and it was fine. Lightning took it out a couple of monthat ago and I went for the TP-Link and it has been great.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Regards

Tim
