does any one know of a router that has the following: Wireless AC, itunes compatibility, adsl, usb 3.0, that does not need executive financing? so far the top of the range asus seems to fit the bill, but it is way pricey.

yes, running itunes server on the router. so if you stream from your library, you stream directly of the router(with connected hdd) removing some of the hops/loads on the network.

Any router will do, just setup Home Sharing in iTunes.

so "itunes server" is an old protocol
so, now my requirements are less, adsl modem and wireless ac

is there another way you can use itunes for streaming content from the usb drive in the router?

Have you looked at Uniterm direct?
They sell TP-Link routers and maybe this one will meet your needs.
