Router - CISP one or Asus?

My fiber is going live in a few days, and I have signed up with CISP and also getting one of their routers. However, my current router is a Asus dsl-ac68u modem/router and I quite like it. I believe I can use it for fiber according to random info I found on the net, but the net also seems to suggest there is extensive settings and changes needed to make it work, and I am not very pc technically minded.
So...wanted to ask if I should just use the CISP supplied router, or should I have a go at getting my Asus to work?

For Vuma I can recommend TP link routers, for openserve TP link or Asus routers work great. Something to do with default packet mtu sizes that I couldn't be bothered to double check on each device type - all I know is that the Asus ones don't like vuma

I didn't like the TP-Link router that CISP provided. The wifi was terrible, would only get half the speed. Using Ethernet I would max out. Decided I was just going to buy my own router and went with the ASUS RT-AC88u and I'm happy.

If it has a WAN port then try both and see which one works better for you.
