Hi, I am not technically minded, so please bear with me.
I have a Telkom Mega 100WR wirless router.
I need to change the router/modem password details in 10.0.0.2 with my Afrihost details that they have sent and I've managed to log in to 10.0.0.2, clicked on "Quick Start" and "Connection Scan" but when I do a scan, it gives me this message: "Please Contact your Internet Service Provider to
confirm that your broadband connection is active and to get the correct line settings for manual configuration".
Can I click "Restart Router" option? Is this safe, will I lose anything and if not, can I then simply put in my Afrihost username/password with their config details and blissfully go on with my internet browsing/recieving emails as before?
I am currently working from my laptop on wireless, can I continue to do these steps from this laptop, or do I have to go to the main pc where the router is plugged in to?
I have called Afrihost, no reply. I have sent an email and got a ticket number, but I guess I'm a little impatient!
Thanks!
Jenni
