Router damaged after using twice.

Hey there.

My brand new router worked twice, when I plugged it in a third time (mind you the first two times I switched it on for less than a day, each time), it didn't come on (boyfriend says it got burnt from the inside ). Am I liable for a new router from my ISP ? (MWEB) without any additional payments? I'm unable to get that information on their website.

That depends... How does your boyfriend know if was burnt from the inside? Did he open it? If so warranty is void and you're liable for a replacement.

If not, contact MWEB and arrange to have it returned it to them for an assessment to see what the cause of the sudden failure was.
