Sometimes when im browsing my router disconnects and my router light becomes from stable orange to flashing orange hw do i fix this so i dnt get dc at random times? My isp is Telkom, I have a Billion 800vgt router, I have a 384kb line and I live in cpt.

no i dnt hv a phone connected to the line

Thing is, you need to check the attenuation and the SNR on the router then. If it's too noisy you could be getting intermittent D/Cs. Can you log into your router and get those stats?

Hi
If your ADSL/PPP light on the router flashes then it means our ADSL line is not synchronising. You need to call Telkom on the number 10215 or 10215 and ask them to do a line attenuation test for you! After doing that test your ADSL/PPP light on the router will be solid orange

Ok they said it is synchronising bt then like 2hrs aftr the light flashed orange again nd nw it radomly dc's sometimes without the light flashing:( need help.

Without those stats we can't help you, dude. It could be a myriad of things and we can only guess without more information.

If you can't find that information I suggest you call Telkom and have a technician come take a look.

You must first obtain a chicken. It needs to be a plump healthy chicken. Once you have done this you will need a knife. Now take the router outside and place it in the center of a circle of stones. You need to ensure that the area is heavily scented with incense. Begin chanting as you circle the modem while thrusting the chicken into the air. When you reach a crescendo in the chanting your must cut off the chickens head and offer it to the router as a sacrifice. if it is deemed worthy you shall be rewarded with an improved connection, if found wanting your router will not work for 5 days.

Good luck brave sir.
