Router Freezing

Hi All,

I'm at my wits end, and am hoping someone on the myBB forums can come to my assistance.

I've gone through 3 different hardware solutions to try and get stable internet, but they all freeze multiple times a day, and I don't even know where to begin to fix this. I've had a Netgear Wireless Modem Router, a DLink Modem linked to a Buffalo Wireless Router, and yesterday I bought a TRENDnet Wireless Modem Router.

All of them run perfectly for a while, then they just freeze. All the lights basically turn on and do not flicker, the WiFi either disappears or cannot be connected to. Not a day has gone by in the past 2 years where my hardware has not required a restart at least once during the day.

I've tried them on 2 different plug points, but they have always gone to the same phone line connection. I've changed filters more times than I recall.

I am beyond frustrated, and I have no idea what may be causing this!

I suspect the voltage of your phone line could be the problem.

You wouldn't, but Telkom would
Log a call with them and have a technician test the current and voltage coming into your house.
