my ethernet light keeps flickering is it supposed to do that ?

i was under the impression that only the internet light is suppose to flicker.

anyways the internet and ethernet lights on my router are always flickering so is that normal ?

If something always does something, I normally assume its normal.

Until I went to a bike mechanic and he asked how long my brake disk was making that aweful sound lol.

Now I'm paranoid about everything.

the internet led should stay solid though, i mean if it keeps flashing randomly that would indicate the connection is dropping. well on my router anyway
